MIDDLEHAM WAR MEMORIAL

Located in the churchyard of St Mary and St Alkelda Church. Two-stepped base surmounted by tapering plinth, shaft and wheel cross. inscription on bronze plaques on the sides of the plinth. Star of David on front face of cross. Unveiled 1921, the designer was Bland and Brown; the builder was Arthur Eyles. Bronze plaques cleaned annually by local sculptor, Peter Hibbard. Yhe names here have been sorted into alphabetical order within conflict.
